”Azariah”

Azariah is another client of Resurrection Fitness and has lost over 9.5 percent bodyfat since his initial consultation with his trainer. Azariah trained three times per week to achieve the goals that he and Lance set together. During his initial consultation, his main challenge for Lance was to be able to see his abs by the end of his 12 week goals. At the end of the 12 week body composition/measurements, he had lost nearly 19 lbs. of fat and could clearly see his abs just like he had hoped for. Azariah continued to build muscle mass after his 12 week goals were reached and quickly set new challenging goals for himself.

The old me two years ago was someone that that was very aggressive and determined to be successful in my career but unfortunately at the expense of my health. I was the person that worked long days in the office and many late nights and weekends sitting at the kitchen table working. I traveled constantly and had major back pain and chronic acid reflux.

I was referred to Resurrection Fitness and while skeptical, I was impressed with the time they take with me for my issues and goals. I’ve had at least seven Personal trainers in my life and joined at least five gyms and this was the first time I actually had anyone really take time to evaluate my lifestyle, physical limitations and build a plan and goals around how to build my strength and endurance that would ultimately have a positive impact on my overall health. 

In addition to the customized training program design for my individual needs, they gave recommendations on dietary changes that complimented the diet program to reduce the Acid Reflux issues I was dealing with. 

I went from 192 pounds to 168 pounds. I went from knocking on the doors of a waist size of a 35 to a 32 and my neck size increased from 15 to a 16 ½.  In March I could barely do a plank for 30 seconds and now I can hold one for 4 minutes and 30 seconds!  Slim cut suits and pants! Bring them on!

Since I lost the weight, we then adjusted my goals to build muscle with the focus on building strength to my back. To date, I weigh 180 pounds which is my ideal weight and I’m still a size 32 in the waist.  I no longer have back issues or complications with acid reflux nor pain and discomfort in my back.    

People, you can do this.  You just have to make up your mind that your time is now. I’m 49 years old and I’m in the best shape of my life thanks to the ResFit Team.

Before training at Resurrection Fitness, I have to admit that I was pretty lazy. I didn’t like to exercise and just wanted to sit in the house and Even thinking about working out or doing anything physical just put me in a bad mood, so I continued not caring what I ate and it got to a point where I didn’t even care how much I weighed.

Now, I love the feeling of working out with my trainer and actually seeing results. I feel like I’m a completely different person and love the way I feel after a workout.  I feel more energetic and can actually make it through the day on a full energy level. I don't feel so down and tired all the time anymore and my confidence level is higher than ever allowing me to smile much more.

Having a trainer is the best thing I could’ve done for success on my weight loss journey and I’ve pushed past my goals faster than I ever could have on my own. All my gratitude goes out to the awesome trainers that were by my side every step of the way and making sure I achieved my goals as without you, I would never been able to accomplish my goals on my own. Thank you for all you have done! You guys are amazing!

I was tired of being tired all of the time and had no confidence in my ability to pull myself out of the physical and mental slump on my own. I decided that I needed to make changes so I called ResFit and several other facilities.  I was looking for a place that would meet my needs and where I would feel comfortable.   I met with a trainer and went through a history of my fitness level and goals for the future.  It was an eye opening experience because it was clear to me that this was not a quick fix or a brief relationship I was getting into but instead a collaboration, a journey, and a new attitude.     

After training at Resfit for awhile now, my life is so much better now that I cannot even begin to express it.  I have energy now!  I can get up in the morning and go strong all day doing what my life demands and actually feel good.  I have strength!  I am amazed at what I'm able to accomplish with lifting, balance, and endurance.  Things I could never do before I can now do without difficultly.  My body has responded and it looks good.  I am wearing jeans that are 3 sizes smaller.  It was even fun to buy new clothes!  It's basically turned back the clock on aging.  No one believes my age now, and just a few months ago that was not the situation.  I learned to eat in a way that's good for me but also tastes delicious and allows me to meet my goals. 

I would tell everyone that it is SO worth it to join ResFIT!  It's a wonderful organization and Lauren and Lance are talented people and the VERY best at what they do.  In fact the entire team of trainers are exceptional models to their clients.  I cannot emphasize enough how much I believe in their program.  Their 30 minute training sessions are short but powerful.  It's a small time commitment that pays off with big results!

I’m 52 and a client of ResFit for a few years, now. I had never been a physical person. In fact, no exercise whatsoever.

My journey began a few  years back when I was mentally drained and physically ill. I thought long and hard about what I could “try” to improve my quality of life and to make myself feel better. I had always heard that physical exercise released “feel good” endorphins. Being that I consider myself a “natural minded person”, I decided to utilize a personal trainer. (I had previously tried “the gym thing” a few times, but with no real self motivation, I seemed to fail… every single time. I determined that I needed someone to push me and to do it safely.

I began with doing my sessions twice per week and speaking honestly, for the first four months, I truly loathed working out. It hurt…but with caring and positive encouragement from Lance and the team, I persevered. Shortly after, I began noticing incredible changes,  both mentally and physically. The physical aspect was a huge perk for me. At 50 years of age, I was able to “sport a bikini”! NEVER in my life had I felt confident enough to wear one!

I now train 3 times per week and I am truly “addicted” to working out! I love it! I love being challenged and how it makes me feel!

Before I started training with Resurrection Fitness, I didn’t have much energy and I felt tired pretty much all the time. I had trouble sleeping and was pretty irritable, too from the combination of lack of sleep, poor eating habits and lack of exercise. I had gotten to the point to where even my “fat” jeans were even getting tight and I refused to buy a bigger size again. I LOVE shopping for clothes, but being the size that I was, it was no longer fun.

Since I started my program with ResFit, so much has changed. I have so much energy that I feel like I did when I was in high school. Now, that I no longer seem to have issues with sleeping, I find it rare to be in a bad mood and even my kids agree that I’m a much better mommy, now. I owe ResFit and my trainer, Ty a huge thank you for making the quality of my life a whole lot better.

If anyone is currently tossing around the idea of getting a trainer, I would definitely say to DO IT! I’ve already lost 30 lbs and know that I could’ve never done it on my own. As a mom, sometimes it’s hard to justify spending extra time and money on myself, but let me tell you that it’s been worth every penny and every minute of my time.

I've been on my journey to become healthy, fit and happy for about a year and a half now. Over the course of the last 18 months I have gone from 365 pounds of pure fat and laze to a buff, athletic frame of 235 pounds. I've learned more about my body, nutrition and exercise than I ever imagined, and I've been a catalyst for positive change in the lives of my family, friends and coworkers. I’ve never been healthier,  looked better, nor felt better, and it’s all thanks to  Lance and Resurrection Fitness.

Shortly after starting my journey with Resfit, I ended up moving over an hour away from the ResFIt studio, which made scheduling sessions quite challenging. Lance was more than happy to work with my schedule and accommodate me any way that he could. He always goes above and beyond by answering questions I have through email, text, or phone call. His commitment to me as his client and his passion for training are a huge part of why I've been so successful. The lessons, guides and information he teaches are all easy to understand, relate to and apply to my own day-to-day life, and he sets realistic goals that he knows I'm  capable of reaching. Both the workouts and nutrition plan I’ve been using with Lance have evolved substantially over time.

Take note: This is NOT a static, cookie cutter plan read off of some website online. Lance and the other trainers at Resurrection Fitness create custom, individually tailored routines for each one of their clients, taking into account not only their age, weight, etc, but also their personal interests, tastes and talents.

I have been working with Lance for a while now with a few setbacks in scheduling and an injury at home. When I started training I was 268 pounds and could barely complete any of the tasks that Lance requested of me. I felt that I had a major lack of energy and no confidence whatsoever. I had been on what felt like every diet known to man, patch, pill and exercise apparatus out there and NOTHING seemed to have worked. My problem was that I wanted a “quick fix” to get rid of the weight I was holding on to. Over the course of our training, Lance has taught me how to be patient with my body and that it does take hard work and most importantly, time when losing as much weight as I wanted to lose.

I’ve also learned about proper nutrition and portions as well as how to exercise the correct way without over training and with good intensity so I get results without hurting myself.

My confidence has gone through the roof and I’m no longer tired and feeling a state of hunger all the time either. Training is something I look forward to each week.

I went from 264 pounds all the way down to 168 pounds and continue to make improvements daily. Resfit has helped to me reach my 100 pound goal! I’ve also went from a size 22-24 down to a 8-10 and I feel great!

After high school life got busy and I started to gain weight and got up to 160 pounds then I became pregnant twice in a 18 months.  By the time I delivered my second baby I was 210 pounds.  At that point I was determined to drop the weight!  I managed to get back down to 150, but was so unhappy with my post baby body shape.  So, I went to see Lauren on 4/21/11.  She helped me change my diet to a plan, in which I was able to eat way more food than I was used to.  I also started bodypump twice a week and cardio twice a week.  I was amazed at how quickly my body changed!  In 5 months, I went from wearing a size 10-12 in jeans to a size 4, and from large to x-large in shirts to smalls or x-smalls,  and a size mediums in scrub to x-smalls(I’m a RN).  I look and feel better than ever!  I met with Lauren every 6 weeks to monitor my measurements and weight.  We discussed my goals and changed them as my body changed.  In 5 months I lost 17.6 pounds, 18.75 inches and went from 32.4% body fat to 24.2%.  My life is forever changed! I make daily decisions now to better my health and my fitness! Thank you Lauren and everyone at resfit for not just changing the way people look but their lifestyle, health, mindset and their entire day to day way of life! Thanks!!!!

.Before working with Resurrection Fitness, I had put on weight due to some poor eating habits and an increasingly sedentary lifestyle. I was pretty unhappy with what I saw when I looked in the mirror. Then, I started training with Lauren, and she’s helped me change what I see in the mirror.

In a matter of only 12 weeks, I  lost 17 lbs. and 11.5 inches by eating healthy and working hard with Lauren’s help and encouragement!
